You can either select "Yes" or "No"

Your screen may black out for a second as it goes thru the cleaning process

Combofix will now create a log report which is needed to be posted

The log is located in C:\combofix.txt

Database will automatically update to the current version

Make sure "Perform quick scan" is selected and then click "Scan"

Malwarebytes is now scanning your computer. This process can take anywhere from a few minutes to over an hour and in severe cases and large capacity hard drives, many hours. Please be patient and let the scan finish.

No Malicious items were detected

In the event of Malicious items that were detected or not detected, a logfile will be created and will automatically popup as shown below. This information below needs to be copied and pasted to the forum to be analyzed.

Sometimes during a scan it may take a minute, usually it hangs up on 023 - NT Services. Just be patient till it finishes the scan.

Scan has completed

You will notice a Hijackthis logfile created in Notepad that automatically popped up on your screen. This is the logfile you will need to post in the forum.

Do you see what has been highlighted? This also needs to be included in your post. This is very important information needed when looking over your log. Typically only Hijackthis 2.02 logs will be analyzed, but if you have Hijackthis 1.99 because you can't download, run, install, etc the newest version, please let us know in the forum when you post and we will make an exception for you.

Also note that there are no spaces in between the entries with the exception of C:\ and R1 which is normal. Any extra spaces between the rest of the entries will need to be removed before posting the log.

If you are not already a member of Tech-Forums you will need to register with a username and password which takes about a minute. You will then go to Hijackthis Logs (Analyze) and post your Malwarebytes Log and Hijackthis Log.

We will instruct you on what entries to remove. Please do not attempt to remove any entries unless you have prior experience in analyzing these logs. Don't accept help from anyone except Osiris, Mak and Trotter. While I (Osiris) am the main log reader and have analyzed over 2500 logs since January 2004, they help out when I'm not around.
